Five things of cream cheese, five eggs +2 yolks, and whipping cream? After I'm done eating that the shadow of my ass will weigh 20 pounds and I'm HERE FOR IT.

level 2

Lmfaoooo this made me laugh. It's so worth it

level 2

the shadow of my ass

LMAO sounds ominous...the shadow lurks!

level 2

I do sugar, 4 packs of cream cheese, heavy cream, 3 eggs, vanilla and cornstarch.

level 2

Thank you so much for this laugh!!!

Here are more pictures and up close pictures of the recipes I used. I apologize for the messy slice of cheesecake hahaha! Didn't have strawberries so I substituted blackberries in the strawberry glaze recipe.

I made a standard size for my coworkers birthday (forgot to take a picture) and also made a mini one (pictured) for my family and I. I know it sunk in the middle but it still tasted AMAZING!

The crust is EVERYTHING.

level 2

Nothing to apologize for -- it all looks delicious.

level 1

Thank you. Cheesecake is my favorite and the older versions seem to be the best recipes. I'll be trying this.

level 2

Please post it when you do! Have fun :)

Must ask...is it the heavy New York style cheesecake that feels like it's 5lbs? I've been searching for a dense cheesecake recipe. I'm not a fan of the light and airy ones that seems to be favored nowadays.

level 2

It was definitely heavy and VERY dense, which is why I loved it. If that's what you're looking for I highly recommend trying this!

level 2

This is what I seek also! I had this insane delicious, DENSE NY cheesecake as a kid, and now I can't find it anywhere... have tried several recipes to no avail. Perhaps this will be the one! Or shall our quest continue...

level 2

Holly Clegg (Louisiana Chef who sadly passed away recently) has a delicious cheesecake recipe that is so dense but also not overwhelming. It uses roasted sweet potatoes and is so awesome.

level 1

Thank you. I'm pregnant and I've been searching the Internet for a solid cheesecake recipe.

level 2

Congrats!! I HIGHLY recommend this recipe, it might be the best cheesecake I've ever had!

level 2

Do you not like the recipe inside the Philadelphia cream cheese box? I'm not being smart. I genuinely was wondering because it's my favorite and simple. If there is better out there I'm interested in knowing. Congratulations on your pregnancy btw

level 2

I would also recommend the King Arthur's Flour recipe
